Thank you for visiting the website of the KAliente Kappa Alpha chapter of Sigma Lambda Gamma National Sorority Inc. at Colorado State University. My name is Micheel Leal and I am the current chapter president for the 2020-2021 academic year. I am a First-Generation, fourth year student majoring in Social Work with a minor in Spanish.

As a first generation student, I struggled with my transition to Colorado State University and felt like I did not belong here. I had a support system back at home, but I needed to find one at Colorado State University. Joining a sorority was not something I ever planned on doing, but it has been the best decision I have made in college. I attended one informational for Sigma Lambda Gamma, and right away knew that this was my home away from home. Sigma Lambda Gamma has provided me with many opportunities for growth.

Because of Sigma Lambda Gamma, I have learned the true meaning of sisterhood and have met strong influential women. Sigma Lambda Gamma is my biggest support system on campus and all of my sisters motivate me to become the best version of myself.
